Last Saturday, the housemates faced their biggest challenge...the first nomination night. Each house has two sets of nominated housemates making a total of four nominated housemates for eviction. The tension gets tight as Toni Gonzaga revealed the names of the four nominees. Among the nominated housemates are Princess and Jason of House A and Jimson and Carol of House B. The four nominated housemates got the highest points with Jason having 7 points, Princess having 6 votes, Carol got 5 points, and Jimson who got the most number of nominations with 10 points.

The Fury of Ondoy

Just recently, Philippines was hit by one of the most destructive typhoons in the history. What started as strong rainfalls suddenly turned to a heavy downpour that can be compared to a month of rainfall. Different areas around the country turned into a sea of flood. All that was visible above are the roofs of the houses. Trees were knocked down on their places. Cars were floating around.

Thousands of people were affected by the calamity. People were stranded on their homes for days without food, water, and electricity. Children got sick, many got injured and died. Others are still missing. People lost their homes, properties, and livelihood. Classes and work were suspended. Flights were canceled, domestic or international. Business were paralyzed and faced a great deal of loss, especially in the sector of agriculture. Infrastructures were severely damaged like buildings, classrooms, roads, and bridges. Roads were not accessible for days making it more difficult for the rescuers to conduct the rescue operations. The estimated total damages of the calamity already reached billions.

Sleeping Dinosaur

On our way home to Davao City, as we passed along the roads of Badas, Mati, I was totally awestruck by what i saw. It was an island shaped like a sleeping dinosaur. Because of its close resemblance to a dinosaur that looks to be sleeping the island was named by the locals as sleeping dinosaur. We stopped by for awhile and I hurriedly got out from the car and took pictures of the island. We were so amazed by the sight that everybody started to took some pictures of it.

EVICTED

The twin brothers Kenny and Toffi together with JM (JM's twin brother JP made his voluntary exit due to his job before JM was evicted) are evicted from the house when they were discovered by Melissa and Marielle while doing the task to switch places. Upon entering the house, Big Brother gave the twins a task in which they are to switch places without giving an idea to the other housemates that there is actually two houses for this season. Their cover was blown when Melissa and Marielle accidentally saw Kenny hiding in the shower room. Due to the failure of the task given to them, the three housemates were evicted from Big Brother's House. Welcome to the outside world Toffi, Kenny, and JM.

Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up

Last October 4, 2009, Philippine's most popular house has opened it's doors to welcome the new housemates. ABS-CBN launched the season 3 of the much anticipated reality T.V show "Pinoy Big Brother". This season's edition is entitled as "Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up".

This season's edition title caused a lot of rumors among the viewers as to why it is called "Double Up". Until it was revealed to the public that Big Brother's house is actually "two" this time. Two sets of housemates are living in the house, in which they called as "House A" and "House B".

The pilot episode, hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, and Bianca Gonzales, introduced and welcomed the first sets of housemates in the Magical Reveal episode. Among the first batch of housemates are:

so long first sem...

Finally the first semester of my second year in college has officially ended...No more worries, no more head aches, no more cramming and hectic schedules on my list. *sighs*
Another semester has passed...
I "quite" enjoyed the semester and gained new knowledge from my seven subjects this semester. I have to give credits to my professors for that. I gained new friends and met new faces as well. I got to experience my first time of intramural in my school this year. I was slacking off for the whole week (literally) only going to school for the attendance. L.O.L^^
I also got to experience my first time in the Acquaintance slash Masquerade Ball in our department. That felt like a prom to me (considering that I missed the high school prom -- and that was TOTALLY one of the biggest regrets in my life!).
A week before the final exams, I had to complete my clearance (I had to bring some stuffs to patch up my missed attendance slips).
In general, this semester was OKAY! but not that really great. I hope next semester will be more interesting to me.
